I read it about 15 years ago and found it syrupy, and in the intervening years I have changed a wrld so I assumed my reading of it would be different and the richness would be more palatable, and yet there was still something slightly saccharine to me about it. There are many quotes feltic this book that I’ve written down; indeed, I started a notebook to go along with my reflections inspired by this book. Apr 22, Stephen rated it liked it. This is truly a handbook for being a soul in a human body. I’ve read it 3 times and have yet to capture every nuance, each reading brings forth additional richness to consider in both worldly and alternative projections.
It includes essays on friendship, aging, grief and our final journey. It means the sacred place or section tthe holy ground that we must cross to enter into the temple. I’m reading this again.
